In 2009 Micky White decided to follow his dream of sharing his fitness knowledge and experience by helping others achieve their health and fitness goals. His hands on approach means that members receive personal attention and advice on how they can reach their fitness goals. The team at Micky’s Fitness are all dedicated to helping and supporting members in their training endeavours and creating an environment of fun and community.

 

 


 

Micky White

Micky has 17 years’ experience working in the fitness industry as a personal trainer, group fitness instructor and manager. He has trained at an elite level in the sport of Cross Training (indoor fitness competitions) winning a number of National Titles in the UK. He has boxed professionally in the UK & recently in Australia and he enjoys coaching and mentoring his clients in the sport of boxing. He is a marathon runner with extensive knowledge on improving long distance running. Any aspect of fitness you wish to be involved in, Micky can help you out. A focused and motivated mind and lifestyle is extremely important to Micky, setting goals and achieving them is what Micky does best. Not only can he change your fitness levels, but he can help you train your mind and change your outlook and your life. Micky also enjoys spending quality time with his wife Kate and 2 boys.

Kate White

Kate enjoys all things health and fitness, always in the gym or in the kitchen. Kate has a widespread knowledge and huge passion for fitness and nutrition. Kate trains her group fitness classes and personal training clients using the same formula that she trains herself. Having 2 children of her own, Kate loves to help other mums achieve their goals and maintain a healthy lifestyle. She has a strong passion for boxing and is currently an amateur boxer, with 4 wins out of 5 fights under her belt. Kate is the founder of Health Bar Melbourne, a boutique health and wellness store located within Micky’s Fitness. Kate’s passion for a natural, clean and healthy lifestyle encouraged her to open up Health Bar Melbourne to encourage one’s focus on the whole package, not just physical fitness. If you have any queries about health products, Kate is your woman.

Timmy

Timmy has 5 years’ experience in the fitness industry as a personal trainer. He is a highly energetic and committed trainer with extensive knowledge in strength & functional training. He is a firm believer in practicing what he preaches and loves passing his passion and knowledge of fitness onto all members at Micky’s Fitness. Challenging clients and helping them reach their goals is what Timmy does best. Tim eats, breathes and sleeps basketball and is currently playing for the Diamond Valley Eagles. Timmy has a strong knowledge of strength training, sports specific training & in more recent years long distance running, having participated in three Melbourne Marathons himself.

Amber

Amber’s passion for the fitness industry began due to her own personal weight loss journey, where she lost over 35 kilos. She knows how important regular exercise is, smart nutrition choices are and living an everyday healthy life style is to achieve the goals you set for yourself. Amber is all about making workouts fun and interesting, so you never get bored, usually incorporating boxing and circuit style training. Amber can help anyone reach goals whether they are related to weight loss, fitness or overall lifestyle. Amber loves participating in boxfit, circuit, cycle or any other classes on offer because of the good vibes and fun atmosphere exercising together brings out in everyone, She also enjoys running.

David


David has been working in the fitness industry for 9 years now and continues to pursue his mission of educating and improving as many people’s health and lifestyles as possible.
David has a passion for helping people achieve results, specializing in strength and conditioning, nutrition and supplementation. He is constantly looking to improve his own knowledge in exercise and nutrition. Always on a mission to sort out what is fact and fad. Having lost over 40kg himself he has learnt a lot. With years of diverse education and experience David is able to get a lot out of you in a short period of time. He also has a keen interest in body transformations, cross training, lifting and rehabilitation. If you ever have a question or query about health and fitness David is your guy and if he doesn’t have the answer he will endeavor to research it for you. David loves spending time with his family as well as snowboarding and XC mountain biking. David is always practicing what he preaches; he is a role model in the fitness industry.

Sophie B

Sophie has a long history of involvement in the competitive sporting world, and has a passion for all outdoor sports. It was from her experiences as a competitor in national rock climbing competitions that prompted her to follow a career in the industry, completing her Certificate 2 in Outdoor Recreation whilst still in high school. She went on to complete her Personal Training and Gym Instructor Certificates in tandem with her Bachelor’s degree. Sophie takes pride in helping people achieve their goals, whether it is weight loss, functional training, injury and sport rehabilitation or competitive sports training; she will push you to do your best. Sophie is a firm believer in balance to maintain a healthy lifestyle by eating well, exercising regularly and having a positive state of mind.

Sophie K

Sophie has been working in the behavioural field of psychology for 8 years, specialising with children who have autism. This work showed her the importance of motor skills and fitness in children and how heavily it affected children’s social skills. This prompted her to do her Certificate III and certificate IV in fitness which has allowed her to now be training adults and children for over 3 and a half years. Sophie helps adults and children find their biggest motivator and use it to achieve the best results possible! Her workouts typically include high intensity strength and endurance. Sophie challenges herself every day and will be sure to challenge you too!!

Brad is the latest addition to the team here at Micky’s Fitness. Brad has been an active member of Micky’s Fitness for over 5 years. Brad’s interests include martial arts, weights training, trail running, CrossFit, Olympic weightlifting, yoga and powerlifting. Brad recently turned his own interests and passion for all things fitness into a career, so that he can help others achieve their specific health goals. Brad has specialised knowledge in sport specific training, functional strength training and mobility with a focus on proper technique to maximise your training results.

Gayle has been in the fitness industry for many years, instructing and coaching classes around the Eltham/Diamond Creek area. Upon joining the Micky’s Fitness team a few year’s ago as an instructor, she was encouraged to further her study and become a qualified personal trainer at the age of 55. Gayle has seen the growing need for training the more ‘mature member’ in the fitness industry & puts a real emphasis on building healthy bones & muscle, increasing physical activity, improving balance & flexibility, managing a healthy weight & over all improving well being. Gayle has a real passion for training her clients & believes anybody can exercise no matter what their age, fitness level or ability, it’s all about getting fit & healthy, whilst having fun at the same time.

James

James has recently jumped backed into the fitness industry and excited to join the awesome team at Micky’s Fitness. As a professional firefighter with the MFB James understands the importance of keeping fit and living a healthy life style. His interests include boxing, functional strength training, circuit and conditioning training. James also has experience in Muay Thai kickboxing having spent a month training in Patong Thailand and competing in several gym spars locally. James loves to bring his interests into each of his sessions/classes and is passionate about helping his clients achieve their goals no matter how big or small.

Jarrod has been working as a personal trainer in the fitness industry for four years now. His passion for fitness and helping others lead him to a career in personal training. Frankie

Having been involved in sport for most of his life, Frankie has a passion for health and fitness. His major sport/martial art is Judo. He has competed and coached at the highest level, being ranked #1 in Australia from 2000 to 2004 and was the State coach for Victoria for a number of years. Since then he has coached hundreds of judoka of all ages. Frankie says there is nothing more rewarding than seeing the transformation people go through as they work towards and achieve their goals.

Whether you are looking at general health and wellbeing, weight loss, muscle hypertrophy, strength gains, cardiovascular fitness or sport specific training, he can help you.
